Terms of Use

Neon Beams is a free game with no accounts, no purchases, no subscriptions and no servers. These terms are correspondingly short.

By installing the game you agree to them. If you do not, delete the app — there is nothing else to unwind, because nothing about you is held anywhere.

What you may do

Play it, on as many of your own devices as you like, for as long as you like.

You may not sell it, charge others for access to it, or take it apart and ship your own version of it.

Names are yours, not ours

The name you type is the only thing you can put in front of other players, and you are responsible for it.

Names are filtered as they are typed, but a filter is not approval: names are not reviewed by us, not chosen by us, and showing one is not endorsing it. We are not responsible for what players type. There is zero tolerance for offensive names — slurs, hate speech, sexual content, harassment of a named person, impersonation — and using the game to harass anyone, or trying to defeat the name filter, is a breach of these terms.

If a name gets past the filter, tell us and the word will be added to the filter.

No warranty

The game is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. It is a game played over your own network; it is not fit for any purpose beyond that, and it should not be relied on for anything that matters.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using it, including anything another player says or does.

Changes

These terms may change when the game does, and changes take effect as soon as they appear here. Material changes will be described on this page rather than in a version note.
