Privacy Policy

Neon Beams has no servers and no accounts, so nothing about you is collected and nothing is sent to us.

Both stores require every app to publish a privacy policy, even one that collects nothing. This one is short because there is genuinely nothing to describe.

What the app stores

One thing, in the app’s own storage on your device:

  • Your player name — the label other players see during a multiplayer game on your local network. You type it on the multiplayer screen, and you can change it there at any time.

That is the whole of it. It is removed when you delete the app, and it is not backed up to us, because there is no “us” to back it up to — the game has no servers and no accounts.

What the app sends over the network

Multiplayer plays over your local wifi, device to device. While a game is running, your device exchanges only what is needed to run it: the player name you chose, and which way each player is turning. That traffic goes directly between the devices in the game and passes through no service of ours.

The app uses your local network to find and host nearby games. iOS and Android both ask your permission before allowing this, and you can refuse — single player is unaffected.

What the app does not do

  • No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or advertising
  • No accounts, sign-in, or profiles
  • No tracking, and no data shared with third parties
  • No location, contacts, camera, microphone, or photo access

Changes

If a future version collects anything, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described on this page rather than in a version note.
